Chapter 79: Travelled a thousand miles away to find a relative I (Part 1)

After crossing the path, they saw several residential earth buildings.

Zheng Xiaona did not bring her old father and mother with handicapped legs and feet. She followed the contestants and repeatedly doubted life: “When did they build a road here? Didn’t Village Chief Chen say that the two villages are inaccessible…”

Gu Zhisang looked around: “It’s normal that you couldn’t see the road here before. There are blind spots and large formations.”

She was able to conclude that there was something strange here based on the slightly chaotic magnetic field airflow and the strange black fog on the top of Xiaoshi Village.

The place after passing through the formation was just the back hill of Xiaoyan Village next door, nothing special.

But why would someone set up a formation here, and what do they want to cover up?

Not far away was the bustle, including the playful screams of several children.

“Erya, your mother is a crazy bitch! My grandma said I shouldn’t play with you. Madness is hereditary and can be contagious.”

“Hit her! Beat this lunatic!”

Then they saw an unkempt, tattered, and dirty woman sitting paralyzed under a tree in the back hill. She was bloated and fat.

She was sucking her dark and muddy fingers. Her face was covered with fine scars and lines, and her eyes were cloudy and lifeless. She was a mentally disturbed person.

Several boys of different sizes were laughing and joking around while hitting her on the head with rocks and poking her body and face with wooden sticks.

When the beating hurt, she yelled “Ahhhh” and waved her hands to cover her face awkwardly, which only attracted more intensive beatings.

“Get away from her! Don’t hit her!”

A teenage girl with red eyes picked up a stone from the ground and threw it back. However, there were so many people on the other side that she got scratched on the back of her hand.

A boy on the stage changing his voice said in a drake tone: “Erya, is this crazy woman your mother? Are you also a little lunatic? Doesn’t your father not allow you to get close to her and take her as your mother? Why are you protecting her? You better be careful not to be found out by your stepmother and Uncle Wu.”

His accomplice poked him with his elbow and teased: “Your mother sleeps in a doghouse. Are you the son of a dog?”

The male duck voice was unhappy: “You fart, your mother is the dog.”

“Why are you pretending? Everyone in the village knows about your family affairs. You are just a son of a bitch…”

Suddenly, several children saw Gu Zhisang and others suddenly appearing at the end of the village. They immediately stopped laughing and being wild. Some of them ran home in a swarm, and some who were brave enough to come up to them curiously asked:

“Are you here to collect the ‘goods’? Didn’t you just collect a batch yesterday?”

He couldn’t help but look at the two beauties, Gu Zhisang and Daisy.

Gu Zhisang slightly raised an eyebrow: “What kind of ‘goods’?”

The boy pouted: “Stop pretending, I’m young but I’m not blind or stupid. I’ve seen it several times. Aren’t you just…”

“Awang!” A roar came from behind, making the boy tremble.

Gu Zhisang and others looked forward and saw several more young and middle-aged men from Xiaoyan Village aggressively rushing toward them.

The one who scolded the child was one of the middle-aged men. He stared at his son with wide eyes and a gloomy expression:

“Have you finished your homework before you go crazy? What nonsense are you talking to others about? I’ll beat you!”

The leader of these villagers had a round head and a scar on his chin. He stared at the program crew with a sly smile: “You are the mystic masters who came to film the program? I am Wu Feng, the Village Chief of Xiaoyan Village. We don’t know you are coming to visit, so don’t be surprised if the reception is not good.”

In his mind, he scolded Chen Xiangbiao from the next village as a fool.

When he called him, he promised him that these outsiders would not discover the ‘secret passage’ and would not be able to get through the village. But what was the result?

If they hadn’t received the news and arrived in time, they wouldn’t have known what Awang was about to say!

While speaking, he cast a gloomy glance at the shivering little girl “Erya” not far away. The girl trembled, took two steps back, and ran away from the village with her lips pursed.

Wu Feng looked away again: “I made you laugh. The children in the village are wild and noisy.”

After a few words of greeting, Gu Zhisang pretended to be curious and asked:

“Village Chief Wu, didn’t Village Chief Chen of Xiaoshi Village say there are no roads on both sides? We were just strolling around, and unexpectedly we ended up here.”

Wu Feng said: “This… this is the old abandoned dirt road. Who can walk here since the main road outside has been repaired?”

Although the program staff and contestants who followed knew that what the village chief said could not be true, Gu Zhisang looked clear, as if she believed it, and stopped asking questions.

She turned and glanced lightly at the crazy woman who was sitting paralyzed under a tree not far away and had just been beaten by the village children: “What happened to that eldest sister? Where are her family members? Why did they just let her sit on the ground and be beaten? Don’t they care about her?”

When Wu Feng heard this, he glanced at the crazy, haggard woman who was still mumbling, his brows furrowed involuntarily, and there was some disgust in his eyes.

He said coldly: “She is a lunatic in the village. If anyone tries to help her, she will go crazy and bite people. She would even attack her own man, parents-in-law, and children, so she was kicked out of the family. Who do you think will dare to care about such a lunatic?”

“The people in the village thought she was pitiful and didn’t drive her away. They always gave her food to eat. No matter how much they take care of her, they couldn’t control her.”

“They are poor people too.”

Wu Feng stretched out his hand and said: “Why don’t you guys go sit in the village…”

He took two steps forward toward the program crew, which attracted the attention of the crazy woman under the tree.

The crazy woman raised her head. Under her messy and knotted dry hair was a tawny face that had seen changes in times. Her eyes were cloudy because she was simply attracted by the sound.

But when she saw Xun Yiqing in the crowd wearing a Taoist Priest’s uniform, and He Mitu wearing a long gown commonly worn by outsiders, the deepest and most hated memories in her mind emerged, making her stagnant yellow eyes slightly open.

The villagers walking behind heard the gasping sounds, turned their heads, and saw the crazy woman standing up without knowing when.

Her fine-lined face was full of hatred, her expression was ferocious, and she let out a low cry, which startled the villager.

The next second she rushed over like crazy, scratching and biting people!

“Oh my god! Brother Feng, this lunatic has gone crazy!!”

Wu Feng’s expression changed drastically, and he said with an ugly face: “Hurry up, stop her!”

Two or three young and middle-aged male villagers pushed her to the ground, and they almost couldn’t control the crazy woman who jumped up.

“This fucking lunatic is so strong, heh… He even bit me on the back of my hand. She doesn’t have any contagious virus, does she?!” A villager grinned and complained.

The crazy woman struggled and roared muffled in her throat. There was a pair of hateful eyes on her raised face.

And where her sight was turned out to be where Xun Yiqing and He Mitu were standing?!

Xun Yiqing: “???”

He Mitu: “???”

They also noticed the crazy woman’s gaze. They looked at each other and moved forward. Unexpectedly, the crazy woman’s gaze was also staring directly at them and yelling, full of resentment.

There was something wrong with the eyes of other contestants and staff around her. Xun Yiqing frowned and said first, “I don’t know this lady. This is the first time I’ve met her today. I don’t know how I provoked her.”

He Mitu didn’t know why and shrugged: “Me too.”

Daisy looked at the screaming crazy woman with an unbearable look on her face, “Village Chief Wu, won’t she get injured if you press her like this?”

One of the three villagers punched the crazy woman on the back several times with his fist.

Wu Feng said: “You three, put her…in the village committee’s office, so as not to hurt outside guests. I’m sorry, everyone, this lunatic is not in good spirits.”

Seeing that the three villagers were about to leave with the still roaring mad woman, Gu Zhisang, who had been silent all this time, suddenly spoke:

“Village Chief Wu, it’s not good to let her stay like this in the village. I see there are many old people and children in the village. What if they get hurt by her?”

Gu Zhisang suggested with a smile: “Master Bai Ci in our program group is very good at treating patients. Netizens call him the contemporary ‘Bian Que’. Maybe he can help this poor eldest sister. Why don’t we go to the village committee and let him take a look at her.”

“How can I trouble you?” Wu Feng was stunned. He didn’t expect Gu Zhisang to propose such a suggestion. He quickly refused and then explained:

“The main reason is that we had someone look at her before and took her to a big hospital. But they said she couldn’t be cured. Don’t waste your efforts…”

“It’s okay. How can a doctor be called benevolent if he refuses to save someone, right? Master Bai Ci?” Gu Zhisang looked at Bai Ci.

Bai Ci, who was pointed out, stammered: “Huh? Yes, yes, I can help her… take a look.”

The remaining contestants looked strange, thinking that this Gu Zhisang was always active in catching ghosts and was not interested in anything else but just wanted to get off work. When did she become such an old-fashioned person?

Wu Feng was looked at by those smiling auspicious eyes. No matter how unwilling he was, he could only grit his teeth and say: “Then I’ll trouble you the master!”

The group of people walked to the village committee.

The three villagers in front were dragging the mad woman who was still struggling and trying to attack. Gu Zhisang was strolling around with her hands behind her back while admiring the scenery of Xiaoyan Village.

Wu Feng, who was lagging, felt doubtful and uneasy.

Why did these people suddenly take care of a crazy woman? Are they kind-hearted, or did they discover something?

But this was impossible. This woman has been crazy for many years.
