The room was cold and damp, and patches of mold appeared on the walls. As if they could drip water at any time.
The resentful ghost’s cold hand almost touched Gu Zhisang’s face.
If it hadn’t been tightly trapped by the ‘Soul Locking Array’ arranged in advance in the room, the resentful ghost would have rushed directly into Gu Zhisang and tore her into pieces.
“You have been swallowed up by hatred and become a demon.”
From the beginning to the end, Gu Zhisang was calm and was not frightened by the sudden attack of the resentful ghost:
“Is it worth it for a few numbers of scum to drag the innocent people in the whole city to be buried with them, and become a sinner for the ages, a monster that everyone hates and calls for beating?”
“If you stop now, you still have a chance to survive the fire of hell and gain a new life. If you continue to persist in your stubbornness, no one will be able to survive you!”
Liu Mouxin was indeed pitiful and innocent.
But in the end, she lost her reason for hatred and resentment and made a big mistake.
It stands to reason that although the water ghosts who drowned in the lake also have a certain degree of yin and resentment, they will have some impact on the surrounding people if they disperse to the land along the “ladder” of the pavilion in the middle of the lake.
But it won’t be this big.
The abilities of the water ghosts were based on Liu Mouxin’s resentment of letting them spread wantonly in the city to take revenge on Liang Youkang and the others. Their abilities were amplified several times, allowing them to invade innocent and psychologically vulnerable people;
In the end, these people went to commit suicide by the “Goddess Lake” and became substitutes for water ghosts.
The woman who threw herself into the lake was like this, and so was Wen Lisheng’s son.
They did not harm Liu Mouxin, but they lost their lives because of Liu Mouxin’s resentment.
At the same time, the deaths of these people also left behind evil forces, which clung to Liu Mouxin’s body and were the ‘evil consequences’ caused by them.
The ‘Fire of Hell’ mentioned by Gu Zhisang means that bad karma harms the body like fire. It was also a special flame in the eighteen levels of hell, specially designed to burn sinners.
If people have done too many bad things and harmed others during their lifetime, they will go to hell to be tortured and burned by the ‘Fire of Hell’ after their death.
Only when all the bad karma in the soul has been burned away and the punishments they deserve have been borne, will these evil ghosts and bad ghosts have a new chance to be reincarnated.
But when it comes to ghosts who have committed serious crimes and killed too many people, they will not even have a chance to bear the punishment of ‘Fire of Hell’.
Either they will be directly judged as “soulless” by the judge, or they will lose the right to be reincarnated and remain under the eighteenth level of hell forever, suffering from mountains of swords, seas of fire, ice, and scorching heat.
Both emotionally and rationally, Gu Zhisang didn’t want Liu Mouxin to end up like this.
“The way of heaven… is unfair! Revenge!”
The resentful ghost made bursts of blood-sobbing sounds. Every time the wail became sharper, the billowing mist in the formation became thicker, and the temperature in the living room became lower and lower.
Gu Zhisang frowned slightly when she saw this, realizing that it was impossible for a ghost whose resentment had swallowed up all her sanity to listen to her words.
She sighed softly and could only choose tough measures.
Judging only from the strength of the resentful object, Gu Zhisang guessed that Liu Mouxin’s true form had surpassed that of an ordinary great ghost, and was close to the most powerful ‘red ghost’ among the ghosts.
With her current ability, it was possible to purify and liberate only with magic spells, but it would take longer time and energy.
Seeing that the walls of the hotel were covered with mold-like stains that were about to spread to the furniture, she chose a faster method to purify her yin energy and resentment.
Gu Zhisang formed a seal with her hands, and her fingertips easily formed a seal with three fingers tapping and one finger raised.
When she recited the incantation, her expression was particularly solemn, the airflow around her body also changed slightly, and her voice was ethereal and indescribably sacred.
“Yù qīng shǐ qīng, zhēn fú gào méng, tuī qiān èr xī, hùn yī chéng zhēn. Wǔ léi wǔ léi, jí huì huáng níng yīnyūn biànhuà, hǒu diàn xùn tíng, wén hū jí zhì, sù fā yáng shēng.”
This prayer was called the “Five Thunder Mantra”, and its function was to attract thunder and gather lightning.
Thunder and lightning were what evil spirits in the world feared the most.
The thunder and lightning that can be gathered after reciting the spell are often based on the ability of the mysterious master. The stronger the ability of the mysterious master, the more and more powerful the thunder and lightning caused by the “Five Thunder Mantra”.
Gu Zhisang only made a move, and then a subtle crackling sound sounded all over her body, and hair-like arcs of electricity traveled around her body, immediately dispelling the dancing resentment.
Feeling the yang and strong power in her body, the crazy resentful ghost became a little weaker, and she gave birth to a little intention to retreat.
Before it could try to escape, Gu Zhisang suddenly opened her eyes after the last sound. Silver-white electric arcs gathered near the ceiling of the living room out of thin air, striking hard at the ghost in the formation.
Liu Mouxin, who transformed into a resentful ghost let out a sharp scream and struggled wildly, shaking the talismans around her.
Despite this, the ‘Soul Locking Formation’ set up by Gu Zhisang remained motionless, showing no signs of breaking.
The dense and powerful thunder and lightning only struck a few times, and the resentful ghost in the formation shrank to the size of a fist.
The walls of the living room that were originally covered with damp stains caused by the resentment of the water ghost now have been swept away, and the walls were now white and pale.
Because Gu Zhisang’s soul was too powerful, the thunder and lightning she attracted were also very powerful, and in the end, even the sky nearby was filled with dim clouds.
After a few minutes, it started to rain.
The hotel that Gi Liaochan rented for Gu Zhisang happened to be right next to the Goddess Lake.
The balcony of the room has a floor-to-ceiling window, and you can watch the sun rise and set from the window on weekdays.
At this time, through the window, Gu Zhisang could see some residents walking on the shore and tourists walking here in a hurry. They seemed to be shocked by the sudden change in the sky.
“It was sunny just now, but now it was so cloudy all of a sudden. This damn weather…”
“Let’s go quickly. There’s thunder, it’s going to rain!”
“……”
Gu Zhisang was in deep thought as she stared at the faint gray mist on the lake that was like water vapor and invisible to the human eye.
Then she suddenly stopped thinking and took out a thin drawn talisman from the bag.
This was a ‘god-inviting talisman’, which was used to invite gods to heaven and use some of the gods’ abilities.
Even so, it cannot be the real abilities of the gods. At most, it was a ray of light or even just a little spiritual breath.
The ‘god-inviting talisman’ can be said to have the highest failure rate and the most difficulty to use in the metaphysical world.
If the mystic master doesn’t have enough skill, the master will lose consciousness.
Liu Mouxin’s resentment, which had shrunk to a minimum and was very weak, felt a sense of panic for no reason when she saw Gu Zhisang’s actions.
Gu Zhisang held the ‘god-inviting Talisman’ between her fingertips and chanted the spell. The talisman in her fingertips trembled slightly.
When she said the last spell, she threw the talisman upward:
“Nine Heavens respond to the sound of thunder and transform as the Heavenly Lord!”
The jade-colored talisman turned into dust, and the next second the dark clouds that shrouded the city and the Goddess Lake surged. The tiny electric arcs that were originally just jumping in the clouds condensed into a ball, and exploded over the Goddess Lake with deafening thunder.
The electric light with faint purple streaks in the silver illuminated almost half of the sky, making the people near the ‘Goddess Lake’ scream in fright.
Two more weaker thunder and lightning strikes, and thin drops of rainfall on the lake.
It lasted for about a few minutes and then stopped again.
