Chapter 27: Lu Mengke changes her surname (Part 2)

Tang Mingmei was convinced when she mentioned her son’s illness: “He is indeed not in a good condition now. It was said before that he would be transplanted at the end of the month. Now the doctor said that it is not suitable and asked to observe it for a while. However, it is good to have one thing. It is said that there is a Chinese medicine that seems to be good recently. The efficacy of Chinese medicine has improved this year.”

Lu Kui said: “It is also good to try Chinese medicine. If you can avoid touching the bone marrow, don’t touch the bone marrow. After all, taking so many injections is not good for the body.”

Tang Mingmei rubbed her eyebrows: “It’s too messy. If Mengke was our daughter from the beginning, this kind of thing would not happen.”

“If she is your daughter and your son like her, what do you think?” Lu Kui smiled and dropped a thunderbolt.

Tang Mingmei’s expression suddenly became distorted: “No way…”

Lu Peng said: “Don’t think too much. Now, their father has agreed to Mengke change her surname. Talk to Mengke in the afternoon, and then set a time. The doctor is specialized in our son’s case. It would be good to try Chinese medicine to recuperate.”

Lu Mengke met her grandfather Lu Kui at around 2 p.m.

Lu Kui’s attitude was very gentle, and he asked her if she was sure to change her surname.

Lu Mengke took a deep breath, raised her head, and said: “If my sister can accept it, I want to stay in the Lu family, but my sister doesn’t accept it, so I think I should leave.”

She hurriedly added: “I remember the kindness of my elders to me. Even if I change my surname to Yang, I still remember the love of my elders in my heart.”

“What do you think of Junyi?”

“My eldest brother will always be my eldest brother.” Lu Mengke smiled sweetly: “He and I have been siblings for a long time. My brother loves me very much. He knows that I want to change my surname, and he also helps me.”

Lu Kui showed a strange expression for a moment, but Lu Mengke, who was immersed in her thoughts, didn’t find anything wrong. She still said that she would not be alienated from the Lu family even if she changed her surname to Yang.

Lu Kui thought that Lu Mengke’s temperament was like a classical lady, and she might have been unwilling to talk about her feelings with her brother.

He waited until Lu Mengke finished talking, then reached out and hugged her: “Since you have made up your mind, I will not stop you, Meng Ke, just like you said, although you changed your surname, we are still a family.”

After all, Yang Mengke will marry Lu Junyi sooner or later, and then she will call him grandpa in the name of granddaughter-in-law.

Lu Kui hugged her gently and then let go. No matter how many times Yang Mengke was still not used to this kind of hug etiquette, her cheeks were slightly red.

She bowed to her grandfather: “Thank you, Grandpa. I have caused trouble for my family. The previous dinner was to celebrate my sister’s return, and it also confirmed that I was the eldest daughter of the Lu family. Now I have to change my excuse to the circle.”

“It doesn’t matter.” Lu Kui said with a smile: “It was just a small gathering in the circle. Don’t take it to heart. Changing the surname is not a big deal. You can just let the circle know when the time comes. Where will you live after you leave?”

Yang Mengke said anxiously: “I bought a house near the university. It was Brother Junyi who insisted on giving it to me. My name was already written on it when I found out. I didn’t want it at the time. I also made a little money from live-streaming, but I bought it myself!”

In the future, they will be husband and wife, so it was not a big deal for Yang Mengke to take a house. Lu Kui said: “The Lu family does not lack this little money. Since Junyi has already arranged it, you can take it with confidence. When do you plan to move out?”

“I have almost packed my things, and I can call a moving company to leave. I think since it has been decided, the sooner, the better, so that sister Yunyao may be more open-minded. ”

Lu Kui showed a toothache expression: “Don’t bother with Yunyao.”

Lu Yunyao would still be Yang Mengke’s sister-in-law in the future. Fortunately, Yang Mengke and Lu Junyi will be married soon, maybe Lu Yunyao will figure it out by then.

Yang Mengke had a different understanding. She felt that she had changed her name to Yang and left the Lu family. How could the real Miss Lu let it go?

She smiled and said: “It’s understandable. Sister Yunyao can’t just figure it out for a while. Besides, it’s summer vacation now. She hasn’t gone to college yet. She’s staying at home and seeing me every day. Isn’t it easier for her to have wild thoughts? That’s why she is hostile to me. It will be better in the future.”

Lu Kui nodded with satisfaction: “It’s great that you think so. I’ve wronged you. Just let it go now.”

After saying all this, the family had dinner together. No one mentioned Lu Yunyao who was far away at home at the dinner table, as if these people were the real three generations of grandparents and grandchildren.

Yang Mengke was also a little moved. She wanted to tell her grandfather about Lu Yunyao’s live broadcast. Seeing that no one took the initiative to mention Lu Yunyao, she let it go. Anyway, she was about to leave the Lu family, so why bother making trouble?

That night, the Lu Family lived in the central house. When they returned home early the next morning, the first thing they did was to help Yang Mengke move. When Yang Mengke had moved, and they were preparing to have a farewell lunch together, Tang Mingmei said reluctantly: “Go call Yunyao over.”

The servant said: “The second young lady went out early in the morning and is not at home.”
