Chapter 134: Helpless Ordinary Residents

Zhuang Yun and Shen Jufeng only kicked away the silver wolves when they attacked, and their main target was the BOSS.

They didn’t notice that a giant wolf was hiding. The giant wolf was as if waiting for the right opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to the enemy.

“Deal with these little wild monsters first, be sure to be vigilant.” Shen Jufeng reminded his teammates.

“I know.” Zhuang Yun said, still looking around.

They have dealt with too many brown-iron-level wild monsters, and now their attributes have been improved, and their weapons are more powerful than before. Dealing with them was as easy as dealing with the normal-level wild monsters at the beginning.

After the two of them dealt with one each, they decided to go back and help Lu Jiu.

After Lu Jiu stabbed the silver wolf, she put away her dagger and immediately started shooting arrows. However, just after the silver wolf was stabbed, it received another arrow.

It was angered and jumped up again to attack Lu Jiu.

She was still concentrating on attacking when a sudden cold feeling came from her back. Out of instinct, she moved away without looking back. She only saw a huge animal paw in her peripheral vision, which was the BOSS.

She kicked away the silver wolf that jumped towards her, turned around, and looked for the BOSS. The BOSS quickly ran into the forest, trying to hide again.

It was just Shen Jufeng and Zhuang Yun didn’t let it go this time. They had already seen the BOSS just now and were staring at it without blinking.

The giant wolf saw the two men staring directly at it, and no longer implemented the previous strategy of hiding after hitting it.

The BOSS waved its right palm, trying to hit Zhuang Yun, and it hit the target. Zhuang Yun blocked it with his giant sword, but he had already been hit from midair to the ground, and he was half-kneeling to block the claws.

The giant sword was double-edged, one side was facing the giant wolf’s claws, and the other side was on his shoulder. It has pierced the clothes and caused damage to himself.

Seeing that his teammates were suppressed, Shen Jufeng turned around to stab the giant wolf with his long sword. The giant wolf immediately retracted its hand, and Zhuang Yun also breathed a sigh of relief.

He glanced at his shoulder, “I didn’t expect that my sword would hurt me.”

Seeing that he was fine, Shen Jufeng said, “Be careful, this giant wolf moves mysteriously and may hide at any time.” He didn’t take his eyes away from the giant wolf while speaking.

The giant wolf bared its teeth and pounced again.

Lu Jiu has already dealt with several silver wolves on her side, and two teammates on the other side were already fighting the giant wolves head-on.

No other wolves were sneaking up on her at any time. She directly targets the BOSS from a distance.

This battle lasted for nearly half an hour, and the three of them were sweating in such a cold environment.

The wild monster was killed, the training room withdrew from the virtual environment, and the familiar clean empty room was in front of him again.

Zhuang Yun sat on the ground and looked at the giant sword in his hand. He raised his head and asked his two teammates: “Should I get a single-edged sword?”

Shen Jufeng knew why he asked, “No if you hold the single blade upside down, it will be more serious than hurting yourself.”

“What’s the matter? Why suddenly mention this?” Lu Jiu was concentrating on dealing with Silver Wolf at that moment and didn’t see that situation.

“He was suppressed by the BOSS just now, and he hurt himself on the other side of the sword.” Shen Jufeng explained simply.

Lu Jiu laughed: “It’s normal to get hurt when dealing with wild monsters. Brother Zhuang, it’s nothing. Injuring yourself a little is better than a wild monster hitting you.”

The attacks from wild monsters were much more painful.

The three of them chatted and took a fifteen-minute break before starting the next round. They wanted to get more accustomed to the winter environment so that they wouldn’t be completely unaccustomed to it when they had to go out.

He Ange received an email from the Red Wolf team, which probably meant
inviting him to a meal.

Typically, before the end of the world, it was their custom to talk about
things at the dinner table.

He read the email because the person’s words were sincere, and he felt
happy in his heart. This was the majesty of a city lord. It doesn’t matter how
majestic this team was before. To equip the props, I had to lick my
face and say soft words to him.

Thinking of this, He Ange wanted to save the city-state, even if there were not many people there.

[He Ange: Since you are so sincere, let’s get together and I will let the
restaurant open. ]

He still didn’t want to go to the Red Wolf Team’s territory. Although there were NPCs in the
City, who knew what those crazy people would do?

When the Red Wolf team saw He Ange’s reply, they immediately sneered: “Look at this coward. He said he was opening a restaurant to get together. Why doesn’t he dare to come to our place?”

The woman lying in the captain’s arms thought of He Ange’s usual arrogant appearance. If he hadn’t been lucky enough to be the first player, she wouldn’t know who she was nodding
to at this moment.

The Captain Red Wolf squinted his small eyes and said: “It’s okay, just follow what he said,
don’t be in a hurry.”

The others look malicious.

On the other side, the vice-captain told the ordinary people who were supposed to help with the
purchase that all the city-state shops were closed. These people originally expected him to bring supplies, but who would have thought that the city lord would cut off this road?

A large family was crowded into the cramped room. The oldest old lady’s grooved cheeks ran down with muddy tears: “They don’t want to give us a way to survive at all.”

As she spoke, she began to cry miserably, “All the important things in our family belong to Xiao Chen. When he dies, everything disappears. His child is still young. How can we live like this?”

Next to him, Xiao Chen’s wife held her baby tightly in her arms. The deputy captain couldn’t bear to look at it and said, “I have another heating stove at home. I will give this to you now. You  all stay in the same room this winter.”

Xiao Chen’s wife cried silently. Her child was just over one year old. At that time, her husband had promised that he would come back to celebrate the child’s birthday.

Now things were different.

The old lady stopped crying when the deputy captain told her he would give them a heating stove.

“Thank you very much, my child. We are left with orphans and widows. My husband old man is too old and there is nothing we can do.”

How could she not know that her son was working hard to clear the fields, but who could do anything about it?

The deputy captain nodded blankly and did not forget to tell the family: “You should stay in
the house during this period. If anyone wants to leave, just follow them. There is no reason to stay in Longjiao City.”

The family was still a little confused after hearing this. Then the vice-captain stood up and said: “You can also tell people you know. I guess there will be trouble in the city soon. You should take care of yourself.”

The family didn’t come back to their senses until the deputy captain left.

“Daughter-in-law, the old man and I will give you all the food and supplies. If something goes wrong and you have to run for your life, you take the child and run away quickly. Don’t worry about us two old bones. Your father and I have had enough.”

When Xiao Chen’s wife heard this, her eyes became sore, “Mom, don’t say that, the child is still so young, how can I bring him up by myself?”

The old lady wiped her face and said, “There is nothing we can do about it. Anyway, you and the child will survive first…”

The old man in the family has been silent for several days since he found out about his son’s death, and has not spoken yet.

Thinking about the neighbors she had known before, the old lady thought she had to remind them: “I will talk to our neighbors, we can help each other.”

Hands down his tears as he says hello to his neighbors, getting ready for them to start moving in
the winter soon.

Xiao Chen’s wife silently lit the fire for the heater, which the family now relies on to warm their cold bodies.
