Chapter 213: National Participation

Lu Jiu saw the scene in the forest and exclaimed: “Wow, this wild monster has reappeared again.”

In front of Lu Jiu and the others, it was almost the same as before, with hundreds of wild monsters not interfering with each other. They were sitting or lying on the ground in the forest, or walking back and forth.

It was as if they were blind and couldn’t see Lu Jiu and the others.

Shen Jufeng was very straightforward and took out his sword directly: “Then continue.”

Lu Jiu: Are you a devil?!

Yong Lin rubbed his eyes, put away his mount, and patted his cheeks to wake up. He saw that the forest was full of wild monsters again: “So many wild monsters spawned again…”

Zhuang Yun shook his head helplessly: “Fight well.”

All to defend the city-state.

The four entered the forest and another fierce battle ensued.

Besides these, some people in the forest can deal with wild monsters easily, and if that doesn’t work, they can use their wings to escape as much as possible.

Some of them struggled hard or escaped and prayed that there would not be so many wild monsters next time, or were almost wiped out with only a few individuals escaping.

Recently, many people in the same province channel have spoken out, asking everyone not to migrate shortly, as a beast tide may be coming. Even if they were strong, they would not be able to withstand wave after wave of wild monsters.

[Ye Bing (Same provincial channel): The city-state I am in now is a third-level city-state. Can it withstand the beast tide?]

[Yuan Rou (Same Province Channel): Please, most of the city-states now are level two or three. You should at least stay in a level three city-state.]

[Ye Bing (Same provincial channel): That’s worrying too. Haven’t you seen the number of wild monsters in the jungle and their refresh speed? It’s fatal.]

[……]

The channels in the same province were bustling with activity, as everyone was concerned about whether they could survive this beast tide.

After several days of devilish training, Lu Jiu dealt with as many wild monsters in this short period as she encountered in a month in the autumn.

If it weren’t for the game world, she would probably be in a state of pain all over her body.

She held a pillow in her arms and watched the lively discussions on the same provincial channel. She was a little worried.

However, thinking about the last time she spoke, there was a fake identity behind her name, Lu Jiu chose to shut up and watch what others had to say.

While watching the excitement, she received an email from Shen Jufeng.

[Shen Jufeng: There are many Brown Iron level monsters outside. If there are too many of them, ordinary residents alone will not be able to deal with them all. Today we will not go into the wild, but focus on clearing out the monsters in the field.]

Lu Jiu hugged the pillow tightly. It was great. Finally, she didn’t have to deal with hundreds of monsters at once.

[Lu Jiu: Then let’s go out later.]

At all times, food rations for residents were the most important.

*

When someone went out this morning, they found that the number of wild monsters that appeared had increased sharply, and their levels were not as ordinary as before.

They saw many herbivorous monsters eating food, and although the carnivorous monsters didn’t eat it, it didn’t affect their tearing of the food. They were simply the nemesis of humans!

The old man was so angry that he gasped: “These beasts, instead of chewing the weeds nearby, actually chew our food!”

He was old, and even if the physical problems that limited him were gone. He is not as strong as young people.

There were also elderly ladies nearby who slapped their thighs and said: “What a sin! I don’t know when they came. I see that many fields have been eaten bare.”

These were all their food rations.

And the young ordinary residents, during the training of killing wild monsters these days, saw that those at the brown iron level all went out with bronze-grade weapons:
“We can’t handle the bronze-level ones, but we can still handle these.”

Several young people, three or four people, worked together to deal with a brown iron-level wild monster. Although it consumed a lot of people, the majority of the people in the city now were ordinary residents.

In this way, the old men and women stayed in the city, shouting “well done” from time to time.

When the professional residents came out, they saw that there was a lively scene at the city gate again. They discovered that many young ordinary residents ran out to deal with wild monsters, and they were not ordinary monsters.

But there were too many wild monsters. Just as the ordinary residents had dealt with some of them, many more suddenly appeared.

Gradually, ordinary residents began to retreat towards the city gate. They had no occupations and no skills, so it was difficult for them to fight with weapons alone.

Among these brown iron-level monsters that appeared, some could fly. They swooped down from the sky when they saw someone, aiming at a young girl.

The girl was exhausted from fighting the wild monster. Her physical strength was not enough and needed replenishment. Unexpectedly, when she raised her head to drink the potion, the wild monster came towards her.

The girl was so frightened that she almost choked, and quickly swallowed the potion to replenish her strength.

Before she could make a move, a long sword slashed toward the attacking goose monster, dealing more than a thousand damage in one strike. It was obvious that the player was a professional player.

She turned around and saw a short-haired girl in her twenties helping her.

“Thanks……”

Also, this female professional player was so cool. She killed the wild monster in just a few strokes with a long sword.

After killing the wild monster, the girl with neat short hair flexed her wrist and replied: “You’re welcome. If you are exhausted, go back first. We will take over here.”

The girl didn’t try to be brave and turned around to go back to the city. If she stayed here, she would be of no help and would distract other professional residents from protecting her.

Gradually, more and more professional players went out of the city to fight wild monsters, while among the ordinary residents, those who could continue did not return to the city, and those who were exhausted went back to rest.

However, these wild monsters kept refreshing in batches. Every time they killed only 30% of them, new wild monsters would appear in the fields.

After an hour of non-stop killing of wild monsters, the girl with short hair had her bangs wet with sweat, but she didn’t care and pushed her hair back.

“Why does it feel like there’s no end to this? Could it be that the beast tide has arrived?”

Her teammates also wanted to ask this question: “Maybe, but we have to deal with them. We can’t let them waste our food here. Who knows how long the beast tide will last.”

Fortunately, after a period of training, they can deal with wild monsters for longer periods. Even after more than an hour, they can continue. The main reason was that the levels of these wild monsters were relatively low for them, so it was not difficult to deal with them.

Lu Jiu made herself a simple meal at home, and after eating, she went to the city gate with Shen Jufeng to check the situation. Now everyone was clearing the field at the city gate, so there was no need to be so particular about forming a team.

The killing this morning has not yet ended. It was almost eleven o’clock in the morning, and the old men and women had returned to the city to prepare lunch.

Professional residents outside the city would return to the city to rest when they were tired, and then go back to continue their work after having rested.

When Lu Jiu came out, she saw that the monsters in the field had not been killed yet: “There are still many. I thought I would not see any monsters when I came out.”

Shen Jufeng guessed: “Maybe they continue to refresh after killing them, in waves.”

Lu Jiu sighed. These Brown Iron-level monsters were not difficult to deal with, but they were too numerous.

“Then let’s go. I see many people have gone back to eat.”

Anyway, the wild monsters were there, and they couldn’t enter the city-state unless they were killed. It just so happened that the two of them had just come out and were full of energy.
