Chapter 88: Breeding Colored Spider

Holding the reward she got, Lu Jiu returned to her teammates: “Have you harvested colorful spider eggs? I have a reminder that there are dozens of them.”

As she spoke, she took out the reward, and dozens of colorful spider eggs were on a piece of paper.

Zhuang Yun also had one, and Shen Jufeng had three. Lu Jiu couldn’t help sighing, could this be a big boss?

“Anyway, it is said to be colorful spider eggs, this one can’t hatch.” Zhuang Yun looked at the dozens of small eggs scattered on the paper, feeling a little disgusted.

Shen Jufeng pinched the paper and looked at it: “Maybe it can be bred, but we don’t know if it will attack people if we raise it.”

This was the most reasonable explanation. These eggs were not as big as a grain of rice, and they were all on paper. There was no for eating. No matter how they think about it, they seem to be hatched and raised by humans.

Just like the silkworms before.

Thinking of this, Lu Jiu couldn’t help complaining: “Speaking of silk thread, shouldn’t silkworms be more appropriate? How can they give us these colorful spiders?”

Shen Jufeng asked: “Do you want to fight with a huge silkworm?”

The game system will not give them resources for no reason. Now, except for the food they eat, which grows in the fields, the rest of the resources can be obtained by killing wild monsters.

Even if they don’t think too much about it, the player couldn’t pick up a paper egg in the wild.

Lu Jiu imagined that a soft and enlarged silkworm would be scarier than the colorful spider after she could see the whole picture. She shook her head trembling: “Forget it, the colorful spider is also pretty good, it looks plump and pretty cute.”

The harvest of the colorful spider was small, only silk thread and eggs, but it was a brown iron mutation-level wild monster, and other rewards were quite generous.

Zhuang Yun carefully looked at the newly entered city-state resources, and then looked at the total: “My city-state resources have exceeded 5,000! When I go back and hand in the resources, I will be a permanent resident.”

Seeing each other so happy, the other two looked at each other, and they understood each other’s meaning in their eyes.

“I also reached 5,000, and I can also live in the residential area. I heard that the greenery there is very beautiful.” Lu Jiu looked very excited.

Zhuang Yun looked expectantly at Shen Jufeng, who nodded silently, saying that five thousand was enough.

“That’s good. It’s good to move together and help each other.”

Lu Jiu said: “Let’s be neighbors when we move this time. We’re teammates anyway. It’s convenient to shout together when we go out.”

Shen Jufeng replied: “Yes.”

Afterward, the three met several waves of colorful spiders and returned to the city on time when the harvest was full in the evening.

*

Professional players who have gone out recently have noticed that there were too many colorful spiders, and almost half of the wild monsters killed in a day were them.

In addition to the specialties of the silk thread, and the harvest of colorful spider eggs, it was suspected that it was a wild monster that can be bred in the game.

Many people got several colorful spider eggs, and they would take them home and study them carefully.

Lu Jiu also found several NPCs. Today, she will cheekily ask them for some news about the colorful spider eggs she had just obtained.

Her first stop was the tailor shop. The silk threads that cannot be harvested will be given here. The store manager saw the bundles of silk threads and accepted them with a smile. He said: “This is a good thing.”

Lu Jiu said in her heart that she knew it was a good thing.

“The store manager, besides these silk threads, I also got several colorful spider eggs, can these be hatched?” This question was so obvious.

The store manager just glanced at her, and pondered for a moment before replying to her: “It can be hatched, but it needs a special hatching tool. The city lord gave such a good silk thread, so I’ll make you a new one.”

This was giving a little hint. Lu Jiu didn’t stop him. Anyway, he said they needed incubation tools, so this investigation has a direction, doesn’t it?

Speaking of tools, Lu Jiu got up and patted her buttocks, and went to the forging shop. When she came, she heard the sound of clanging in the forging workshop. After a while, the shop manager opened the curtain and came out.

“What materials did the city lord bring?”

Lu Jiu took out today’s harvest, and then there was the piece of paper with the colorful spider eggs on it: “I also have this, but I didn’t know what to do about it. The tailor shop said that this can be hatched, but it needs a special tool. Can you make such tools?”

The Store Manager: Can I say no?

The store manager stretched out his hand. Lu Jiu handed over the paper, looked at it carefully, and said, “It’s a colorful spider egg, it can hatch, and it’s easy to breed, but the restaurant owner knows better how to breed this thing.”

Yes, this is not the end.

“It’s good if it can hatch. The silk thread of the colorful spider is very good. I thought it would be a profit to breed it.”

The store manager was noncommittal, returned the paper to Lu Jiu, and then called the apprentices to take away the materials on the table: “The hatching tools are not difficult, it just needs to provide a warm nest. If necessary, I can make many of them.”

Lu Jiu nodded: “You can, I guess a lot of people got these eggs. There are a lot of colorful spiders in the wild, so there must be a lot of people who want to hatch.”

“Then I understand, this tool is easy to make, and there will probably be twenty of them on the shelves tomorrow.”

The store manager knows the capacity of the hatching tools, 20 was enough for the residents of the city. This tool was not for single use, it can be shared to multiple people.

After that, Lu Jiu wandered to the restaurant. She specially chose a meal time and went to look for the store manager of the restaurant. He was no longer in the front hall, so Lu Jiu used the authority of the city lord to enter the backyard.

Because the restaurant has been upgraded, aside from the dining area on several floors where the guests eat, and the back kitchen, there was also a backyard, which was the private area of NPCs. No one else has permission to enter.

As soon as Lu Jiu came in, she saw the store manager of the restaurant lying on the old man’s chair, and there was a teapot on the coffee table next to it, and the cup was already full of tea.

“The store manager is quite good at enjoying life.”

The store manager knew that the city lord was coming early in the morning, so he didn’t even open his squinted eyes: “I only have a bunch of old bones. So when I’m not busy, I can only have a cup of tea.”

Lu Jiu didn’t try to be polite. She just slumped herself onto the chair on the other side of the tea table. Well, it felt really good to lie on it. She adjusted her posture, picked up the teapot, and filled a cup for herself.

“What’s the reason for the city owner’s visit?” The store manager took the initiative to talk and asked.

Lu Jiu showed an embarrassed smile, “This is a new reward, I asked the tailor shop and the blacksmith shop and said that you know how to breed colorful spiders, so I came to learn from you.”

The store manager opened his eyes, but he just got up a little bit, took a sip from the teacup, then said: “The colorful spider is easy to breed, put it in a basket, then after hatching, just feed some food every day. They don’t eat much and will grow in a week. They will leave silk threads by themselves, but if you want to get eggs again, you have to continue to look for colorful spiders in the wild.”

So say, the colored spiders cannot be regenerated or reproduced. They were all one-time breeding, and they don’t need to leave silk threads to disappear after the end.

Lu Jiu then asked: “Then will they attack us?”

The store manager replied: “You are their parents, why will they attack you? But you can’t harm them when you are raising them, otherwise, they will fight back.”

Lu Jiu feels at ease when she heard this. This breeding process was much more worry-free. Just give it a place and something to eat. It was a walking material processor.

“But the colorful spiders are quite big, and many people live in the dormitories, so I don’t think there is much room for them.” After all, the colorful spiders were as tall as humans when they stand.
