Chapter 108: There is another one

Gu Fei gently pried open her mother’s hand, pretended to pull out a knife from the mule cart, and walked to Uncle Ma. Uncle Ma quickly said: “The seven of us will separate and stand on each side. Listening to the sound just now, I estimate that there are five or six wolves, almost surrounding us.”

He raised his voice: “Once you find a wolf coming from somewhere, don’t move. Wolves are afraid of fire and may not come close.”

“If the wolf pounces, the few people here will be the main ones. If they don’t move, don’t move. If they move, the men of each family will help nearby. No matter what, just greet the wolves, but everyone should be careful not to chop people.”

He doesn’t expect these farmers to have high combat effectiveness. It was good enough if they could help without causing trouble.

“Also, the women of each family should take good care of the children. Don’t make noises or shout, so as not to distract the men. Did everyone hear it?”

“Clear.” Everyone responded trembling. Li Chunhua quickly buried Xiao Cao’s head in her arms.

Mrs. Qian hugged Bao’er tightly, her face pale.

Huzi leaned against his mother, not daring to breathe.

Gu Fei was almost in the middle, and there were several fires of other families outside. At this time, everyone gathered around the fire.

The men were holding machetes, hoes, sickles, and axes, and they were all looking around nervously.

Gu Fei held a bright long knife in her hand, and her eyes were fixed on the dark place in front.

Not far to her left was her uncle, and to her right was Zhang Ze at a distance.

Her father stood behind her, and there were several of her brothers beside her.

The fire only illuminated the near side, and there was a large area of darkness around.

Gu Fei’s heart suddenly felt a hair, and she saw a wolf walking slowly, walking out of the darkness, stopping not far from the fire, and not moving.

A pair of eyes looked at the group of people indifferently, as if they had not yet decided whether to launch an attack.

The men standing outside all saw the wolf at this moment, and they clenched their weapons in their hands, not daring to breathe.

At this time, Bao’er was hugged by his mother and sat on the ground. From the gap between people’s legs, he saw the wolf not far away.

He suddenly screamed: “Wolf–”

Mrs. Qian hurriedly covered his mouth, and the women and children around looked at Bao’er, glaring at him.

Just then, the wolf, perhaps stimulated by the scream, suddenly moved.

It kicked its hind legs and pounced on the crowd.

Gu Zhang, Gu Qing, and others were all panicked, but they still remembered what Uncle Ma said, that if Gu Fei and the others didn’t move, they couldn’t move either.

Gu Fei stared at the wolf, watching it leap into the air, and swung the long knife in her hand violently, slashing from the wolf’s neck to its belly.

Wolf blood sprayed from the air, splashing all over Gu Fei.

The wolf fell and struggled to get up from the ground. Gu Fei stepped forward, bent down, and slashed at its neck again.

Just then, a shadow passed by Gu Fei.

Gu Fei was shocked, there was another one!

But she had just slashed the knife, and it was too late to stop, and behind her were her father and several brothers!

In a hurry, Gu Fei suddenly had a pistol in her other hand, and she shot at the shadow without even looking.

A gunshot rang out, and Gu Fei didn’t know if she had hit the wolf.

And the wolf in front of her was slashed in the neck by the long knife, cutting a cut, and blood was pouring out.

The wolf was also fierce and was still charging forward. Gu Fei aimed at the wolf’s head and shot it.

Then she no longer cared about the life or death of the wolf. She turned around and saw her father being bitten on the neck by the wolf.

Not far away, her uncle ran towards her father with a machete.
