Chapter 169: Gu Erlang’s grievance

Gu Fei nodded listlessly: “Well, then Dad, you ask around these few days to see where there are clams and buy some back first.”

Gu Zhang stared at her: “What’s wrong with you? Why are you talking like that? Did you catch a cold?”

“It’s cold in the south, and we can’t heat the kang. I told you to light a charcoal fire in the room, but your mother wouldn’t listen.”

Mrs. Chen came over and stretched out her hand to touch Gu Fei’s forehead: “Did you catch a cold? Is it serious? If it’s serious, let Dalang ask a doctor to take a look.”

Gu Fei shook her head: “It’s okay, I should be better tomorrow.”

Mrs. Chen shouted: “Lian’er, hurry up, burn it. A pot of charcoal fire was placed next to Xiao Fei. ”

“Chunhua, quickly boil a bowl of ginger soup for Xiao Fei!”

Lian’er and Li Chunhua agreed and ran quickly.

Gu Qing came in after hearing the voice: “Sister, are you sick? What do you want to eat? Big brother will buy it for you.”

Gu Fei felt that she had become a national treasure just because of a small cold. She rubbed her nose: “I’m fine. Maybe the quilt is too thin and I caught a cold.”

Mrs. Chen said quickly: “That quilt won’t work. Let Dalang go to the city to buy a new quilt weighing ten kilograms.”

After breakfast, Gu Zhang went to the market to ask if there were any clams nearby.

Gu Fei felt sleepy after taking the cold medicine and sat next to the charcoal basin, drowsy.

Mrs. Chen and Li Chunhua boiled a large pot of paste with flour, then took down a door panel and brushed the scraps of cloth on the door panel with paste.

After brushing one layer and it dried, brush the second layer.

At least four or five layers should be applied.

This was for making a skirt, which was used as a sole.

Gu Fei couldn’t resist the effect of the medicine and fell asleep on the table.

When Mrs. Chen saw this, she felt so distressed that she called Lian’er: “Go call Sanlang and take Xiao Fei to the room to sleep.”

Lian’er rolled up her sleeves and said: “I’ll do it.”

She was tall, had eaten well recently, and had more strength. She picked up Gu Fei and put her on the bed without any effort.

Mrs. Chen brought the charcoal basin into the room again.

Lian’er quickly opened the window a crack, fearing that the charcoal gas would fumigate Gu Fei.

When she opened the window, Lian’er saw several black ash spots on the window frame and was full of doubts. She had just wiped it yesterday, where did the ash come from?

Lian’er fetched water and wiped the window frame again.

Gu Zhang came back at night and waved to Gu Fei: “Xiao Fei, come here, Dad has something to tell you.”

Just as Gu Fei was about to take a step, Gu Erlang suddenly said: “Dad, can you take me with you when you go out in the future? I am also 18 years old, and I will be 19 after the Chinese New Year. I also want to know what’s going on at home.”

Gu Erlang felt a little wrong. He felt that he was the least valued one at home.

The whole family dotes on the younger sister. The eldest brother was the eldest son, and the parents relied on him. Gu Sanlang was naughty, and the parents also worried about him a lot. As for him, his father and mother don’t love him.

Gu Zhang was stunned for a moment, then nodded slowly: “Dad neglected it. Dad always thinks you are still young. It’s okay. You can go with me when we go out in the future.”

Gu Sanlang shouted: “Dad, what about me?”

Mrs. Chen pushed him: “Go away, you are only sixteen years old, wait until you are older.”

Gu Sanlang shouted aggrieved: “My sister is only fourteen, I am older than her.”

Mrs. Chen pointed a finger at his forehead: “Can you compare with your sister? You have a head that is suitable for you. Your sister can earn money and cook. What can you do?”

Gu Sanlang smiled foolishly.

Gu Fei smiled and looked at her third brother, then said to Gu Zhang, “Dad: how about everyone listen to this? One person’s plan is short, two people’s plan is long, and three heads are better than Zhuge Liang.”
