Chapter 235: Climbing the Wall

Gu Fei said: “This sign is not only for you. If your relatives or friends come to stay, they can also get a discount by showing this sign.”

Uncle Du took the sign put it away, and left the store with the servant.

When it was time to go to bed at night, Gu Fei remembered the pot of crabapple flowers in the space, and quickly sank her consciousness into the space.

She saw that the pot of crabapple buds had already opened slightly.

Looking at the spiritual energy in the space again, it not only did not decrease, but it was more than yesterday, and the fog was thicker.

Gu Fei squatted carefully in front of the crabapple and saw that the crabapple had no signs of dying as if it was more energetic than before.

The leaves trembled slightly as if they were breathing.

Gu Fei thought about it, plants also need to breathe, so does that mean that the spiritual energy they inhale is still spiritual energy they exhale, so that the spiritual energy in the space will not decrease because of plants?

She stood up and looked at the green jade cabbage and the mutton-fat jade treasure bowl again. The green jade cabbage had completely turned into stone cabbage, and the treasure bowl was just a pale stone bowl.

This should be because all the spiritual energy inside had been sucked out.

After looking at the space, she closed her eyes and went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, Gu Fei was suddenly awakened by a ringing bell.

She quickly got out of bed, took out her pistol, loaded it, opened the door, and ran out.

In this yard, there was a store on the south side, a wall shared with other families on the west side, an alley on the east side, a side door on the east side, and an alley outside the north wall.

If someone comes, they can just climb over the wall from the east and north alleys.

Gu Fei rushed out of the door, first looked at the east wall, found nothing, and quickly ran back.

When she ran to the back, she saw a figure on the wall and then jumped out.

Gu Fei gritted her teeth and shouted at the wall: “Er Laizi, I know it’s you, how dare you come!”

A suppressed “Ouch” sounded outside the wall, and then a sound of footsteps gradually ran away.

Gu Fei stood by the wall for a while but didn’t chase.

She walked to the doghouse, and the dog woke up and climbed up to look at her. Gu Fei shook her head at it: “You only know how to sleep! Tell me, what’s the point of raising you? You don’t even know to call when a thief comes!”

She then walked around the yard, and when she didn’t find anything, she went back to her room to sleep.

Because the store started to get busy, Lanzhi came early in the morning.

Gu Fei asked her to sit at the counter to register and collect money for customers, and when it was busy at lunchtime, she ran to the kitchen to help Sister Hua.

While cooking, Tie Niu suddenly rushed in with a nervous look: “Cousin, Er Laizi is here again, and he brought several people with him.”

He just saw Er Laizi coming from a distance at the door, so he ran in to report the news.

Gu Fei threw the spatula and shouted: “Lian’er, you continue to fry.” Then she grabbed a rolling pin on the chopping board next to him and rushed out.

When she rushed to the door, Er Laizi was about to enter with a few people.

Gu Fei raised the rolling pin in her hand: “You dare to come?”

“You climbed over my wall last night, how come you didn’t fall to death!”

Er Laizi’s head shrank, and then he straightened his back: “Little girl, don’t talk nonsense, who climbed over your wall?”

Gu Fei was too lazy to talk to him: “Get out, get out, get as far away as you can!”

Er Laizi sneered: “Don’t think I’m afraid of you, a little girl, you don’t have martial ethics. I was ambushed by you yesterday, but that doesn’t count. Today I’ll let you know how powerful your second grandfather is!”

“Brothers, give her–”

Before he finished speaking, Gu Fei hit Er Laizi on the head with a rolling pin.
