Chapter 83: Zou Ning (Part 2)

Although she didn’t participate in the latter things, Zou Ning would tell her about the progress on WeChat every few days, so Lin Qingyin also knew everything that happened.

After mixing with Zou Ning’s affairs, the Spring Festival finally arrived. In her previous life, Lin Qingyin doesn’t need to eat anymore after entering the immortal sect. There was no concept of Chinese New Year at all. The time became a smoke of cloud. Sometimes she cultivated for decades. So it can be said that this was Lin Qingyin’s first New Year’s Eve in her two lifetimes.

The family of three plus Fatty Wang, Han Zhengfeng, and Zhang Qidou celebrate all together. On New Year’s Day, the four men huddled in the kitchen and discussed what to cook. While Lin Qingyin and Zheng Guangyan sat cross-legged on the sofa, eating nuts and watching TV.

Although Lin Qingyin only stayed in Qindao for a few days, she met a lot of people. Zhang Kai, the villa developer, Chen Qirun’s family who had been discharged from the hospital and returned to the villa for Chinese New Year, and Wei Xin’s family, whose soul had been snatched. These people came over one after another. This time, Lin Qingyin didn’t let them go back empty-handed. She gave each one of them a talisman, so they were all happy when they left.

Lin Xu and Han Zhengfeng both cooked a lot of good dishes, but what surprised Lin Qingyin most about the New Year’s Eve dinner was the Buddha Jumping Over the Wall that Zhang Qidou made the whole day. When she lifted the pot, Lin Qingyin’s eyes lit up, and when she tasted it, Lin Qingyin has begun to seriously consider whether to accept Zhang Qidou as a disciple.

The Buddha jumped over the wall was cooked in a very big pot. The others ate half of it, while the rest went into Lin Qingyin’s stomach. After dinner, when several of them were watching TV and making dumplings, Lin Qingyin couldn’t help but tap Zhang Qidou on the shoulder: “Did you graduate from Xindongfang School?”

Aside from eating and watching TV during the Chinese New Year, there were also some entertainment activities that can be done. Who knows where, but Fatty Wang found and brought a mahjong set. Zhang Qidou and Han Zhengfeng immediately sat down on the mahjong table and said they were masters.

It was the first time Lin Qingyin came into contact with this kind of entertainment. After listening to the rules carefully, she tried to play it and became addicted instantly. Once she got addicted, nothing else mattered. In the next three hours, the other three didn’t have any trouble at all. But after that, Lin Qingyin who poke the tiles here and there almost won all the cash in their pocket.

After handing out the last ten yuan, Fatty Wang looked at Lin Qingyin helplessly: “Little Master, did you secretly calculate the tiles?”

“Is it worth it?” Lin Qingyin said innocently: “Once I touch the tile, I can sense which one is useful and can be used to win, so I don’t need to count it at all!” She glanced at the three of them: ” Can’t you feel it?”

Fatty Wang stretched out his hand to push mahjong and stopped playing. This was too bullying!

The mahjong set only survived in the villa for three hours before being thrown by Fatty Wang. As for the poker, he didn’t even take it out. He was afraid that he would lose and doubt his life.

Without the entertainment, the three of Fatty Wang sat around Lin Qingyin, and honestly study fortune-telling and feng shui.

In the blink of an eye, it was the 5th day of the first month. After eating the dumplings, it was time to go back to their respective houses. When Zhang Qidou and Han Zhengfeng left, they turned back three times. If Lin Qingyin doesn’t need to focus on her study, they will follow along with her back to Qi City.

However, they also benefited a lot from the few days they spent with Lin Qingyin on Qindao. For example, Han Zhengfeng used to memorize the route and patterns of formations and used them very well. But Lin Qingyin smashed these principles, functions, and simply use the five elements and eight diagrams to formulate formation. When Lin Qingyin taught him some formations, he was suddenly enlightened. He understood most of the formations he couldn’t understand before.

Compared with feng shui formation, numerology and fortune-telling pay more attention to talent.

    1. I think that’s just an expression, like everything was in a haze or so and you couldn’t really tell things apart if any such as time. Like getting lost in a thick mist. So so.

Though Idk what the original text really meant but yeah.
