Chapter 83: Zou Ning (Part 6)

It doesn’t matter to Zhang Simiao, but Shang Yi was half a head taller than Lin Qingyin. So she has to lower her head. Who knows if her neck hurts or not.

The little friends haven’t seen each other for more than two weeks. Naturally, there was a lot to say. Zhang Simiao said a lot of things about going back to her hometown for Chinese New Year and brought back a lot of specialties. Compared with her, Shang Yi’s mood was much bleak.

“Last time, when my dad came to see you and ask for divination, he went back to the capital. As expected, my grandfather passed away a month later. My grandfather’s family business in the capital is not small. The two illegitimate children have always been on guard. They send their sons to my grandfather every day, guarding my dad like a thief.”

Shang Yi sighed and said with some distress: “My grandfather is also very strange. He thinks that my father only has one daughter, so my father can’t inherit his family business. Therefore, he didn’t contact my father for more than 10 years and recognized his two illegitimate sons outside. But in his will after his death, he gave my father the old house and property. His two illegitimate sons only got some savings and few stocks. They couldn’t accept it, so they said that the will is fake and has been tampered with. This issue has been going on up until now.”

Zhang Simiao was stunned: “Shang Yi, I didn’t expect your family to be a wealthy family!”

Shang Yi was amused by Zhang Simiao’s heartless words: “What a wealthy family? My father only wanted to accompany my grandfather until his last moment. He didn’t think about the inheritance at all. Who would have thought that his old man had already notarized his will long ago.” Thinking of the old man she had only met once, Shang Yi’s feelings for him were very complicated: “The old man was too weird and stubborn, he felt that girls could not inherit the family business. But he also thought that several of his grandchildren were illegitimate children, and they are not his serious family. My two uncles, who had been planning for more than 10 years, gain nothing. So they were very angry.”

Lin Qingyin listened to them, while peeling the pine nuts with her fingers, then threw them into her mouth one by one. Her mouth was not idle. Seeing Shang Yi’s full of worries, Lin Qingyin comforted her and said, “I told him when I was doing fortune-telling for your dad at that time. Although there will be twists and turns, the result will be good.”

Zhang Simiao looked at Shang Yi sympathetically: “How is the situation now?”

Shang Yi said: “During the Chinese New Year, we went to the capital to celebrate the New Year. We lived in the courtyard of the old house. I heard from my father and my mother that my two uncles still want to fight with the will, so they are not reconciled. But in the few days of Chinese New Year, my two uncles suddenly seemed to have changed their minds. Not only did they not mention the will, but also happily brought their wife and children back to the old house for the Chinese New Year.”

Zhang Simiao said immediately: “Are they planning something?”

“I think so too.” Shang Yi said angrily: “Although that courtyard is already my father’s, before, my two uncles had a room there. It was just the first year my grandfather left. My father couldn’t stop them, so he let them go back. to But the day after they went back, the talisman you gave my father turned into ashes.”

Lin Qingyin ate the pine nuts for a while: “Is your talisman okay?”

Shang Yi shook her head: “When my dad saw that the talisman turned to ashes, he quickly asked my mother to take me back to Qi City. I gave him my talisman before I left.”

Shang Yi said and grabbed Lin Qingyin’s arm with fear: “Qingyin, will my uncle use any tricks to harm my dad?”

Lin Qingyin looked at her helplessly: “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

“My dad won’t let me.” Shang Yi said pitifully: “He said he could handle it and wouldn’t let me disturb you during the New Year, but I’m afraid that my two uncles will use any more shady tricks. I always think they have bad intentions.”

Lin Qingyin dropped the pine nuts: “Don’t worry, I’ll make calculation first!”

    1. Agree. The old man was really weird. He made a messy family relationship and continued to muddled through with his eccentricity and stubbornness. Now, all of his descendants have to clean up after the mess and each one having their own idea of how to do it. Tsk.
