Chapter 89: Aunt Wang (Part 5)

Lin Qingyin squatted down and looked at him happily: “I forgot to tell you, I’m a fortune teller, I can figure out your father’s email after divination.”

Lin Qingyin said then compressed the photos and audio recordings together and sent them out via email. She didn’t forget to shake the screen of her mobile phone at Li Xudi: “I also figured out that your father will be opening his email soon. Because he is sitting right in front of the computer. ”

Chi Hai came over and hugged the embarrassed Li Xudi. Lin Qingyin looked at them and said: “There’s nothing wrong with you falling in love, but you shouldn’t deceive innocent girls to sacrifice for your love.”

Li Xudi couldn’t listen to these at all at this time. All he thought about was whether the little girl in front of him sent the email to his father.

Lin Qingyin saw through his thoughts. Her lips twitched but then said with a smile: “Your father is not innocent in this matter. He knows you like men, but he still forces you to marry a girl. He thinks his son is noble, while everyone’s children are inferior.”

Aunt Wang spat in disgust: “His father is a small official, so he loves his face.”

“He loves his face, so he can sacrifice others?” Lin Qingyin snorted twice: “At this time, I think he will lose face. But it’s better to make him lose face, so as not to deceive others.”

At this time, in the conference room of a certain office building, Li Xudi’s father, Li Wei, was sitting in front of the computer and looking at the content projected on the wall. Then said: “The ppt for the evaluation still needs to add a few more photos that can reflect our style. I just asked the lower unit to send me a few more photos, let’s see where it fits.”

Li Wei said and opened his email. After looking at the words “Photo, please read” on the top email, he clicked the attached file without thinking. Li Xudi and a man hugging each other tightly and kissing were projected on the wall.

The dozen or so people who were left to work overtime were shocked when they saw this photo, and their eyes glittered with a gossiping gaze.

Li Wei quickly clicked the close button a few times but couldn’t close the photo. He angrily pulled all the cables plugged into the computer and swept them all to the floor. Then he took out his mobile phone and walked out while calling Li Xudi’s phone: “You! You go home for me right now! And see if I don’t break your legs!”

After hearing the roar from Li Xudi’s mobile phone, Dong Xiaojuan and Aunt Wang felt that the discomfort on their chests finally disappeared.

Jiang Wei drove the car and turned his head to look at Lin Qingyin, who was leisurely peeling of the sunflower seeds. He suddenly became a little worried: “Little Master, what the hell is going on tonight?”

“It’s just as what you saw.” Lin Qingyin put the melon seed skins in a plastic bag and said casually: “Aunt Wang thinks her daughter’s boyfriend seems strange. She’s afraid that she’s being over-sensitive, so she asks me for help. I did the divination.”

Jiang Wei felt his head was getting bigger: “Then you can tell her directly. Why do you have to come out and see it with your own eyes?”

“Seeing is believing. Besides, if Dong Xiaojuan doesn’t see the truth, she won’t believe it.” Lin Qingyin threw flower seed into her mouth and said: “Dong Xiaojuan’s marriage is the hurdle in her life. If she can’t pass this hurdle, she will live a miserable and lonely life. Besides, except for being silly, she’s a pretty good girl, so I can’t just watch her get cheated on marriage and fortune!”

Jiang Wei chuckled, unexpectedly two years had passed, but the little master was still so kind and lovely.

“By the way, Fatty Wang asked me to go to the Fortune Telling Shop tomorrow morning. Is there anything wrong with him?”

“Of course, you have to go to work!” Lin Qingyin looked at him with a smile: “Fatty Wang is on vacation. During this time, you will be my new assistant.”

After a pause, Lin Qingyin added: “Free assistant, no salary!”

Jiang Wei wanted to cry in despair: “Why don’t you ask my opinion?”

Lin Qingyin: “Do you have an opinion?”

Looking at Lin Qingyin’s threatening eyes, Jiang Wei immediately held back his grievances and shook his head: “None.”

  1. Although I am a girl, I really feel how sexist this is right now. If MC were a guy and Jiang Wei were a girl, the whole thing wouldn’t sound funny at all, now would it?

    1. I’d find it just as funny if it were reversed. I’m not sure why you feel it’s sexist – regardless of gender, one person gets dragged into losing his whole vacation to working for the other by reason of overwhelming dominance. It’s funny because this is a comedy, it’s even funnier because JW is a very lucky guy in all matters not pertaining to LQY, to whom he has no choice but give in 🤷🏻‍♀️

    2. I think it’s rather sexist that you would consider the reverse to be sexist. A younger person bulldozing over an older friend by playing cute and bossy has nothing to do with their genders or sexualities. Girl-boy, boy-girl, girl-girl, or boy-boy, none of that matters here. It’s funny because it subverts age role expectations, and because WE know Lin Qingyin is a former immortal, but she still acts her current body’s age.

    3. Mmm…Depends. For me, it sinks in more as a playful joke more than anything. Given how the WN is.

That and if you consider how much help the Mc gave to them, it isn’t totally out of the blue nor unjust. Unfair probably but not really unjust. That’s my take on it anyways.

As for the sexist remarks. Uncertain. If we really are going down on that path, the only real sexist remarks I’ve seen is when those people that are clearly biased towards male sons appear, otherwise, don’t really see anything else like it.

I’m a man btw, idk how relevant that is but yeah.
