Chapter 94: Little Master (Part 3)

Jiang Wei didn’t know why Lin Qingyin brought up this topic, but he still nodded his head honestly: “Yes, I cultivated here for one night, and I succeeded at dawn.”

The corner of Lin Qingyin’s mouth curved, then she took a sip from the teacup and said slowly: “Since you have successfully absorbed spiritual energy into your body, I’ll accept you reluctantly as my disciple. Come on, call me Master!”

Jiang Wei: “… …”

I just called you, junior sister a moment ago, isn’t this a mess-up generation?

Looking at Jiang Wei’s depressed expression, Lin Qingyin smiled: “What did you say I should call you when I entered the school?”

A flattering smile appeared on Jiang Wei’s face: “I said that after the little master enters the school, I will still be your assistant. I promise to arrange your career and life!”

The uncles and aunts who watched the lively show muttered in unison: “flatterer!”

The news that Lin Qingyin was the top scorer in the college entrance examination broke out. The fortune-telling stopped. Even the fortune-telling clients were a little absent-minded. They all looked at Lin Qingyin with glowing eyes. Especially those who have children or grandchildren going to school in the family, they wanted to take this opportunity to ask for heavenly items to bring back to their house and give to their children or grandchildren.

Lin Qingyin came directly to the divination room on the day of the college entrance examination. She quite has a lot of stationery and the like, she took them out one by one. However, there were more than 30 people in the entire divination room, her school supplies were not enough. Lin Qingyin simply took out a large package of beef jerky from the cabinet behind her. She divided the package and gave one to each person, and sent the uncles and aunts away. After sending them away, the tranquility in the divination room finally recovered.

Jiang Wei gave Lin Qingyin a thumbs up with great admiration: “Little Master, your fan is so crazy, even beef jerky can be used as an artifact for exams.”

Lin Qingyin also had a headache. She put the cup and teapot that she had managed to get back on the table, and heaved a deep sigh of relief: “Postpone all the appointments, let’s rest for 10 days, I’m going on vacation!”

The banner made by Principal Wang with extra money was finally hung on the school gate on the same day. He stood at the school gate without fear of the sun for half an hour. The principals of the major high schools in Qi City felt sour when they heard the news. Especially Principal Li, the best high school in Qi City. He patted his chest and stomped his feet in anger: “This Lin Qingyin was originally going to apply for our school, but was taken by this Principal Wang for 100,000 yuan. If I had known today, I should have…”

Speaking of this, Principal Li choked. Their public schools couldn’t give students with such high scholarships. He will lose when it comes to money.

The principals of other schools were very sad when they heard the news. They talked about Principal Wang’s hair in the WeChat group. Everyone was at the middle-aged or old men in their 40s and 50s. They were getting bald one by one. Only Principal Wang’s head has changed from the bright Mediterranean Sea to a dense prairie. Their heart was full of sour lemon water.

Originally, they couldn’t compare it with their hair, so they put a lot of pressure on the student’s grades.

Although Lin Qingyin was going to rest for ten days, she couldn’t relax at all. People from the National University Admissions Office came to try to convince Lin Qingyin every day, so that the Imperial Capital University, which had won the ticket, couldn’t sit still. They were afraid that people will be taken away because of negligence.

In addition, the media reporters interviewed the principal, interviewed the headteacher, and then interviewed all the classroom teachers. The most important thing was to interview the related parties. Lin Qingyin was most afraid of this kind of trouble, so she let her parents handle the interview. She didn’t show up her face at all.

Lin Qingyin became the target of the local media and newspapers. Even Grandmother Zheng appeared on the TV. Old Lady Lin, her sons, and daughters were so upset when they saw it. They felt their faces should show up too in such an honorable event. Unfortunately, Lin Xu didn’t inform them at all.

Lin Xu has a special atm card given to Old Lady Lin, that received his monthly alimony every first day of every month.

  1. These recent chapters since the Mr. Yang targeting Guoguo felt like a normalization of cultivation world into their world. But, how the mortal (muggles? 🤭) accept the existence of cultivators, their terms, techniques, etc. amongst themselves still felt too abrupt. Even how everyone simply accept the way evil “fake masters” turned to be called evil cultivator… I’m really dumbfounded.

Also… I really don’t understand what it’s mean by “immortal descended FROM earth.” Even after checking dictionary and googling. I still don’t understand it. Is it mean that LQY is an immortal who’s born and cultivated amongst mortal (immortal who’s descendants of earthly human)?

    1. In many chinese novel, some immortal starts off as a lower being on earth as animals, rocks, mountains, trees, human. It is the accumulation of spiritual energy that helps one transcends to a higher level. You would gather spiritual energy by meditation like in the novel here, or by performing good deeds and receiving positive energy from others. So i guess it is viewed as, she is an immortal that is a decendant of an earth body through virtue.
