In the end, even in ancient times, no woman wanted to share to their husband.
I wonder who is the first person in every country promotes this harem thing. Especially in royal families. I don’t believe it’s to extend their bloodline. Watching some historical series or movies, it’s always the brothers and relatives who kill each other for that throne. >.<
I would guess beyond historically it’s probably from humans looking at animal societies…there are some monogamous like otters, then there are others that are like lion prides…a lot of courtship behavior probably comes from that too….not very romantic, but meh…guess we need more black widows to even things out…
