Chapter 12: Stand-in (Part 2)

“My dear brother, you have oppressed me since I was a child. The family’s business is yours. Father values you and hates me. You even take away the person I like! But it’s alright now, you will be here tortured every day and night. Watch that old couple and your two little bastards suffer a terrible death! While I, I will have all the wealth and luck of the Gao family!”

Only then did Gao Lin know that Gao Shuo hated their family from the beginning to the end.

He thought that his family had killed his mother, and thought that decades of family affection were hypocrisy.

The most important thing was that he has always been brooding over his wife Xu Rui. He felt that they met in the school club first, but he stepped in and snatched Xu Rui away.

For heaven’s sake, Gao Lin and Xu Rui don’t even know about this younger brother’s secret love. So how did he snatch it away?

In any case, in Gao Shuo’s eyes, the more loving their husband and wife were, the stronger his hatred would be.

After talking about these secrets, Gao Lin’s face was full of depression, but Gao Zhi’s mind was blank. He was speechless for a long time.

He never imagined that the reason why his life was ruined for decades and his whole family would be so ridiculous and hateful.

What did his grandparents do wrong? Because of Gao Shuo’s distorted inferiority complex and resentment, he cast a vicious curse on his brother and sister-in-law, and killed his little sister, Tiantian, who called him uncle… …

The system that has been eating melons made a ‘tsk tsk’ sound in Gu Zhisang’s mind: “Isn’t this the live-action version of the villain in the past? In reality, there are such people with bad brains?”

At this time, Li Chenghe, who was filled with righteous indignation, asked tentatively: “Master Gu, since you can break the fierce formation, is there any way to make Gao Shuo suffer retribution?”

One person and one ghost turned their heads and their gazes were fixed on her.

Gu Zhisang: “… …”

“I don’t need to take action. After the formation is broken, the luck that was taken away from your family will slowly return. Gao Zhi’s fate will return to the original, and those who do evil but deceive the law will be punished and get more serious backlash. Gao Shuo will only have a few good days, and then his fortune will collapse within three days.”

Gao Lin was still a little worried, “The Feng Shui Master with him is a well-known master in Hong Kong. What if he helps Gao Shuo again?”

Gu Zhisang slightly curved her lips and said: “Do you think there is no price for harming others? Especially this kind of big evil formation. I think that the Feng Shui Master didn’t want to help Gao Shuo, but used him to steal the luck of your Gao family. But now that the formation is broken, the backlash he will receive will not be less than that of Gao Shuo.”

“Even if he can still toss around, his first target to take revenge will be me, the person who ruined his good deeds. If I am not even his opponent, then no one in this world can defeat him.”

What she said was arrogant, but after witnessing her abilities, the two people present were convinced.

“You are a ghost who died in twenty-five years. You should have gone to reincarnation long ago. You can no longer stay in the mortal world.” Gu Zhisang said to Gao Lin: “However, your soul is too weak, and it is estimated that you will not be able to walk to the underworld even if you go down there. You will be torn apart by the ghosts. I will draw you another talisman to nourish your soul, which will be carried by your son. The close connection between father and son can nourish the soul much better.”

“Three days later, when you see Gao Shuo’s backlash, your soul will also recover. Then I will find the Yin Envoy to lead you.”

This time Gao Lin repeatedly said: “Thank you, Master Gu! You avenged our family and saved me, and my son. I am a dead soul and I can’t repay you. I can only offer you this ‘Ghost Tears’ as a thank-you gift. Please be sure to accept it!”

Gu Zhisang looked at the crystal clear and round ghost tears, and did not refuse, “Then this will be my appearance fee.”

Ghost tears were the product of the extreme emotional fluctuations of ghosts. They were very rare, and indeed good things.

The one in her hand condensed Gao Lin’s resentment, but it was more refined and pure.

Gu Zhisang, who was in a good mood, walked to the table, picked up the brush and yellow paper, and began to draw amulets: “I’ll draw a soul-nourishing amulet for you now, just wait.”

*

In the middle of the night, in a small building in the mountains where candles were lit, a boy was reading a copy of “Spells” he was holding.

Occasionally, he raised his head and asked the elders around him about what he didn’t understand. His eyes were full of admiration: “Dad, what does this sentence mean?”

The middle-aged man was wearing a long gown, and his demeanor was indifferent. He touched his son’s head lovingly and said: “This is about…”

Before he finished speaking, his eyes suddenly widened, his complexion instantly turned red and purple, his veins were exposed, and he sprayed a mouthful of blood all over the table, scaring the little boy into tears.

“Dad, what’s wrong with you?!”

The man’s eyes widened as he stretched out his hands to the boy. After the boy fell into his arms, he dipped his trembling fingers in his blood and used it to draw something on the boy’s face.

After looking at it carefully, it was a string of eight characters!

After finishing the last stroke, the boy’s ignorant face was covered with bloodstains. The boy suddenly screamed: “Dad! I… it hurt so much!”

While crying and screaming, he rolled on the ground, his limbs twisted in a strange posture, and soon there was no movement.

He didn’t know until his death that he was being used as a stand-in by his father whom he admired.

The middle-aged man had already stood up against the wall, looked gloomily at the silent child on the floor, and waited until the child’s skin was blue and purple. Then he walked over and hugged him in his arms. He looked at him with a reluctant expression, and muttered to himself :

“Good boy… I’ve carefully prepared this container for so long. Who is it? Is it Gao Shuo? Or someone else? Who broke the formation of this master?!”

He stood up and flipped the table violently with a twisted face:

“Whoever harms my son must pay the price!”
