[If she hadn’t been tricked into signing a contract by Chengen Entertainment after graduating from high school, and if she had money, she would have lived a happy college life like many of the people here who insulted her.]
[Poor Sangsang. We were not by her side when she was wronged. Now we still have to watch her being slandered by the dog company that oppressed her? Smash this dog company!]
In the villa, Yan Cheng silently looked at the comments that expressed sympathy for Gu Zhisang and condemned her, and his tense heartstrings finally relaxed.
This was indeed what he thought.
Gu Zhisang has never been a weak person. She does not need the protection of others. She can shine out the light that cannot be concealed and can eliminate all the haze.
Nowadays, as long as a bad guy appears on the Internet, that person will be attacked.
The official blog of ‘Chengen Entertainment’ was scolded like a street rat by angry fans and passers-by.
Without question, the company’s stock price plummeted. Many artists took the opportunity to terminate their contracts. It was only a matter of time before they collapsed, and there was no need for him to take action.
But Yan Cheng also felt a little distressed in his heart.
He fell in love with Gu Zhisang when she was on the talent show.
It sounded ridiculous, but when Yan Cheng first saw the face of the flamboyant girl behind the screen and on the stage, his heart shook, and then he couldn’t help but want to know her.
During that time, when he was dreaming, he could vaguely dream about some shadows.
This made Yan Cheng feel outrageous himself.
Then one day, when he couldn’t help it anymore, he went to watch the talent show.
After meeting the little idol in real life, he was a little disappointed.
Yan Cheng found that every time he saw her eyebrows, he still felt palpitations in his heart, but the feeling in his bones that made him tremble gradually disappeared.
It was as if what made him feel moved was different from the little idol in front of him.
Later, Yan Cheng’s life got back on track, but he still paid attention to that little idol, helping and managing her black articles……
Even when the whole internet was mocking her, and he had seen so much dirty stuff about her, and although the initial attraction he felt in his soul had long since disappeared, he still couldn’t hate this little idol.
Until one day, the little idol appeared on a metaphysics program.
When she raised her eyes and looked directly at the camera for the first time in the show, his heart shook once again.
He began to care about Gu Zhisang again.
He followed every live broadcast she was on, squatting in the live broadcast room from beginning to end.
After repeatedly looking at the profile picture on his phone and hesitating for a long time, Yan Cheng finally made up his mind, mustered up the courage to click on it, and sent a message:
“Miss Gu, thank you today.”
After thinking for a while, he typed slowly again, deleting and re-editing for a long time.
After Gu Zhisang took a shower and wiped her hair, she picked up her phone and saw a new message popping up:
“Please don’t take the comments online to heart.”
She raised an eyebrow and said to the system: “The cold and aloof CEO is quite thoughtful.”
The system: “……”
The faint strange feeling in the little waste system came out again, and it huddled in the corner and fell into deep thought.
After sending the message, Yan Cheng’s heartbeat accelerated due to nervousness. He regretted that he had sent the message rashly, and was worried that this move would make the people on the other side think he was strange.
Before he could withdraw, Gu Zhisang’s reply popped up on the page:
“Thank you, Mr. Yan. I have some things to deal with tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I think I don’t have time to help you solve the evil spirits this week. Don’t take off the talisman I gave you. If a mystic master comes to snatch the jade finger bone, it can protect you.”
Yan Cheng subconsciously held the jade phalanges on his chest that exuded gleaming white light, and a smile appeared in his eyes.
But then, the message that popped out from the other side made his smile freeze.
He saw several brightly colored pictures popping up on the chat interface, printed with talismans and statues of gods and beasts, either red or blue and very theological.
Gu Zhisang: “By the way, since you are indeed prone to attract evil spirits, using the portraits of upright gods to control yourself can indeed play a role in warding off evil spirits. What I share with you are all effective ones. You can choose according to your preference.”
The ones she sent out included: Shenshu and Yulu, Zhong Kui, Jiutian Yingyuan the Thunder Patriarch, etc.
Looking at the messages on the screen and the images of the gods, Yan Cheng’s ears turned red again, thinking of the embarrassing scenes during the day.
He silently saved all the images sent by Gu Zhisang.
Gu Zhisang, who had dried her hair, saw the reply: “Thank you, Miss Gu.”
For some reason, this sentence always felt aggrieved. She smiled and stopped paying attention to Yan Cheng. Instead, she replied to her assistant Xiao Zhou and looked at the overwhelming comments on the Big Eye. Some apologized to her and felt sorry for her, while some sent her private messages to apologize and encourage her.
The smile in Gu Zhisang’s eyes gradually calmed down, and there wasn’t much turmoil in her heart.
Because the person who silently endured and suffered the scorn and cynicism from the entire Internet for two years was not her. It was difficult for her to empathize with her, and she could not accept the apologies from these people for the former ‘Gu Zhisang’.
After thinking about it, she edited a blog post.
Gu Zhisang-gzs V: [Actually, there is nothing to apologize for. What happened in the past exists objectively. Your current heartache and apology are genuine, but Gu Zhisang is dead. I’m sure she would be happy if she saw today’s scene.]
As soon as the blog post was published, countless netizens and fans left comments.
Many people believe that she was hurt by the abuse in the past, so her temperament changed drastically.
But they didn’t know that every word written by Gu Zhisang was true.
There was indeed a soul that existed and disappeared in those pains, but no one knew it except her.
*
In the early morning of the next day, Gu Zhisang, who had bought a plane ticket, embarked on the journey to Hunan Province.
After the plane landed, she wore sunglasses and a hat and walked at the airport as if no one else was around. Many passers-by who thought she had an outstanding temperament and looked familiar were peeking at her. Some were eager to come up and ask her if she was a celebrity, while others simply thought she was a great beauty and wanted to ask for her contact information.
But due to her strong aura, no one dared to come forward and talk to her.
When a figure wearing an improved traditional Miao costume, a silver ring, and a crown appeared in her field of vision, Gu Zhisang paused slightly.
The tall girl wearing a Miao costume with an outstanding appearance waved her hand in her direction: “Over here!”
It was Gi Liaochan, a Miao descent who once had a relationship in Hunan.
Gu Zhisang: “I’ve kept you waiting for a long time.”
Gi Liaochan was in a very high mood: “I’ve just arrived a while ago. Let’s go. I’ll take you to the village. I was so excited when I heard you’re coming!”
As she said that, she took Gu Zhisang into the car. Although she was dressed in simple clothes, she drove a bright red convertible sports car, which was very flamboyant.
As soon as the power was turned on, Giao Liaochan’s mobile phone rang.
After she got through, she spoke a few words in Miao dialect, her tone suddenly rising.
After hanging up the phone, she said apologetically: “Sorry, Sangsang, we may not be able to go to the village to rest first. I just received a call. My colleague said that the villagers at the Goddess Lake in Min District are secretly holding a River Festival!”
“I guess we have to go take a look first.”

I always thought that Yan Cheng paid special attention to Gu Zhisang because he had memories from his previous life, but instead it’s the residual feelings from back then. It’s a shame he doesn’t remember, but considering he had vague flashbacks of the past, perhaps he’ll regain his memories one day and pursue her openly.
Thanks for the chapter! 😀
