Chapter 7: Control Group

The first son and his wife started a medicinal materials business with their ability and good connections. They bought a house in Chengdu.

The second son and his wife took the subsidy for unemployment and messed around for a while, but in the end, they got nothing and had to squeeze into the old house.

The children of the two families formed a sharp contrast.

An Yan, the daughter of the first branch, had a harmonious family and was loved by her parents. She had never suffered since she was a child. She ate well dressed well, and grew up carefree.

An Mei of the second branch had unreliable parents. Not only did she do housework and take care of her younger brother since she was a child, but she also had to save money and worry about their family’s life.

If An Yan was a happy and carefree little princess, then An Mei was undoubtedly a poor and miserable little girl. With this obvious contrast compared to An Yan, An Mei was gloomy, inferior, and insignificant.

However, the turning point of the two families’ lives came!

When An Yan was in the second year of high school, An Jiarong and his wife went to collect herbs on a tricycle, but they suddenly encountered a heavy rainstorm. The wind was very strong that day. Because of the bad weather, the sky was even darker in the evening, and the herbs on the tricycle accidentally fell to the ground.

The couple was in a hurry to pick up the herbs, so they didn’t notice the truck coming in the rain, and they both died in a car accident.

Since then, the lives of An Yan and An Mei seemed to have been reversed, and their life trajectories have changed drastically.

An Mei’s family is harmonious and happy, while An Yan has become an orphan who lost her parents.

An Mei’s old house was allocated a large amount of compensation because of the demolition; While An Yan’s large yard with a better terrain has successfully avoided the demolition range every time, so that it has become a despised old house until now.

An Mei’s family opened a cosmetics store and lived a bright and beautiful life, while An Yan was busy working in several part-time jobs to earn her living expenses.

An Mei returned from overseas and became a team leader in a famous cosmetics company, while An Yan graduated from a third-tier university and joined a small and medium-sized pharmaceutical company, but encountered the unspoken rules of the industry.

Relying on the makeup skills learned from studying abroad and taking advantage of the Internet era, An Mei became a popular beauty anchor and gained both fame and fortune, while An Yan repeatedly hit a wall and was constantly slandered and smeared, and eventually became notorious in the pharmaceutical industry.

An Mei married into a wealthy family with infinite glory and became a rich wife, and was sought after by people, while An Yan died in a dilapidated yard due to a sudden illness and untimely rescue.

“…….”

After sorting out the scenes in her dream, An Yan’s mouth twitched speechlessly several times.

What is this? Predicting her future through dreams?

That future was too ridiculous!

For some reason, this dream vaguely gave her a sense of cognition: She was a pathetic, stupid female supporting role who was still trying to compete with An Mei, while An Mei was the heroine who enjoyed the fairy tale.

She didn’t know about the others. In the dream, there was only a comparison between her and An Mei’s life. The most ironic thing was that she had lived such a happy life in the past ten years, which seemed to be just to highlight An Mei’s inspirational life.

Ha! What kind of bullshit prophetic dream was this?!

She has always been a straightforward person. She would never tolerate or wrong herself, and she would not flatter others in a servile way.

Even if she was forced into a desperate situation, she would drag the other party to perish together. She would seek justice for herself.
