Chapter 13: Never deceived a little girl

Seeing that the two old men were getting more and more embarrassed trying to cover up, Tang Xu simply stepped forward, grabbed his uncle’s shoulders, and took him to the back of the shop.

Uncle Tang and Guo Lao hadn’t said enough, so they were naturally unwilling to be pulled away by Tang Xu.

“What are you doing, kid? Pulling and tugging will make outsiders laugh.”

Tang Xu knew that his behavior was inappropriate, but Si Si had no choice but to do so.

“Uncle, I have to tell you that I have a crush on her, so you can’t deliberately cheat a girl who doesn’t know anything just for the sake of profit.”

Uncle Tang raised his hand and slapped Tang Xu on the head: “What are you thinking, kid? Would your uncle be the kind of person who cheats little girls?”

Tang Xu pouted and muttered softly: “You haven’t cheated little girls, it’s because no little girls want to do business with you…”

This statement was absolutely on point for Uncle Tang.

The antique market was very complicated, and everyone was like this. If they meet someone who knows something, they will buy it at a normal price. Only those who didn’t know anything were the real big moneybags for them.

But seeing his nephew’s anxious expression, Uncle Tang sighed: “Hey…you don’t have to worry, I know what to do.”

“But I have to tell you the truth first. Even though the jewelry comes from Daqi Kingdom, you should know what is the lowest price in the antique market. I can’t do a loss-making business just because you like that girl.”

Tang Xu knows his uncle. The latter can say this, which means he has already made concessions, and he also stopped when he saw the good: “Thank you, uncle.”

Uncle Tang glared at Tang Xu in anger, and the two of them started to re-enter the shop.

Seeing Si Si, Uncle Tang said directly: “Tang Xu has just told me about your relationship. Don’t worry, I will give you a satisfactory price after discussing it with Mr. Guo.”

Si Si first glanced at Tang Xu, who nodded firmly at her. She then replied politely: “Then I’ll trouble Uncle Tang.”

Uncle Tang took Guo Lao to the back of the shop again, and about ten minutes passed.

He gently placed the two pieces of jewelry on the table, pointed at the silver hairpin, and said: “If this quality silver hairpin was not from the Daqi Kingdom, the price of an antique 1,000 or 100 years ago would be at most 10,000 yuan. The same is true for the ring. The purchase price of ordinary antiques is 6,000 yuan.”

“But these two objects are from the Daqi Kingdom, whose history cannot be traced. They are not only worth collecting but also have absolute research value. Therefore, Mr. Guo and I initially estimated that these two pieces of jewelry could be doubled on the basis.”

In other words, the silver hairpin can be sold for 20,000 yuan and the ring was 10,000 yuan.

After hearing the quote, Tang Xu directly cast a grateful look at his uncle.

Based on his experience, the price his uncle said was fair.

Tang Xu’s eyes suddenly lit up because he could help the girl he liked.

“Si Si, the price my uncle said is very reasonable.” Of course, this was just the purchase price. If it was put in the auction house, those wealthy people would not care about these things at all. If they like an item, they will think it was worth it to spend a lot of money.

Si Si’s family had encountered such a big thing, and she came to the antique market alone, she must be in urgent need of money. In this case, the fastest way to get the money was to sell the antiques to the buyer.

Although Si Si didn’t know much, to avoid being cheated, she did some simple research in the taxi after going out.

She also knew that in the antique world, the least valuable thing was silver jewelry.

And the price Uncle Tang just quoted was also the highest price she had seen on the web.

In addition, with the relationship with Senior Tang Xu, combined with her little knowledge, Si Si was still satisfied with the price Uncle Tang quoted.

At the same time, she was calculating silently in her heart. Two rings were given to her, and the selling price could reach ten thousand yuan for each. The silver hairpin was worth twenty thousand yuan. The two pairs of silver earrings were more exquisite than the rings, so their pricing must be equal to the price of the ring for the time being, but the price might increase. The silver bracelet was the one with the most exquisite materials among those items, and it looked the most beautiful. The selling price should be higher than the silver hairpin……

Si Si roughly calculated that if nothing unexpected happened, the jewelry she brought today could be sold for about one hundred thousand yuan.

Last night, she asked the two little ones to bring some food, the total value of which was only ten thousand yuan. With this calculation, she made a fortune.

In the long run, she will not worry about the debts of the mall. It just takes some time……

Si Si was secretly happy and took out another pair of jewelry from her bag.

“Uncle Tang, please help me see how much the purchase price of this jewelry is.”

This time, she didn’t ask Uncle Tang to help her identify them. After all, he didn’t fool her for Tang Xu’s sake, so she had to be more realistic.

She believed that Qi Mohan would find antiques to exchange for supplies. For Si Si, this business should last for a long time, and it was very necessary to find a partner who would not deceive her.

Uncle Tang listened to the words and naturally understood what Si Si meant.

“Girl, do you mean to sell all these antiques?”

Si Si nodded: “Uncle Tang, if the price is reasonable, I will sell all these items.”

Uncle Tang smiled brightly when he heard this, and the wrinkles on his face were so bright that he could pinch a mosquito to death.

At the same time, Guo Lao who was standing next to him was very envious. The young lady was Tang Xu’s friend, so the good things should naturally be sold to Old Tang, while he could only look at it.

Uncle Tang couldn’t wait to open the silk bag that Si Si handed over and invited the envious Guo Lao to appreciate it together.

After careful consideration, the two old men gave a round number of 100,000 yuan.

This was about the same as the price estimated by Si Si.

“Uncle Tang, I wonder if you will accept this jewelry?”

Uncle Tang was waiting for her to say this: “Girl, how many antiques like this do you have? Uncle Tang will accept them all.”

Guo Lao on the side wanted to say: I can accept them too.

However, he was not someone to steal the business of an old friend, so he could only watch silently.

Si Si heard this and pushed the silk bag in front of Uncle Tang: “In this case, Uncle Tang, let’s settle the money and goods!”

Uncle Tang saw that the little girl was so happy, and was afraid that the cooked duck would run away, so he immediately asked Si Si for her bank card number to transfer the money, and he didn’t want to delay for a moment.

Si Si took the money and hurried to the mall.

She knew that the two little ones would come to see her today, and she didn’t want to let them wait too long.

“Uncle Tang, Mister Guo, senior, I’m sorry to bother you today. I have something else to do, so I’ll leave first.”

“Si Si, I’ll drive you home.” Seeing that Si Si was about to leave, Tang Xu had already arrived outside the door and waited.

  1. You got scammed lady, not to mention youre selling thousand year old goods in PERFECT condition, on top of that theyre from a mythical land and one of a kind lol
What would actually happen is that they would just say theyre fakes though, because you time traveled the goods they didnt actually experience a thousand years and are new, they would be able to see they were recently made

    1. Even though the jewelry looks new, though, its construction and other cultural details most likely indicate the time period they were made, especially if those details are distinctive when compared to the currently know historical time periods. In addition, considering that the Daqi Kingdom comes from a mythical dynasty, it’s already good enough to quote a generous price for things that can’t technically be verified.

  2. I agree with M&M. Yes, it would look knew, but the quality of the silver and gems would not be as pure as modern time. The cut would be different and the texture may be more rough. If I were her, I would try online bidding for the fanatics.
